Arida Larvik dehumidifier
⚠️ Important before starting!
This is necessary for the refrigerant and compressor to stabilize again. Starting the dehumidifier too early may cause malfunction or damage to the unit.
The environmentally friendly R290 is used as a refrigerant. R290 has no harmful effect on the ozone layer (ODP), a negligible greenhouse effect (GWP) and is available worldwide. Due to its energy-efficient properties, R290 is very well suited as a refrigerant for this use in dehumidifiers. Special precautions must be taken due to the high flammability of the refrigerant.
![]() | This unit uses a flammable refrigerant. If refrigerant leaks and comes into contact with fire or hot parts, harmful gas will be generated and there is a risk of fire. |
![]() | Read the instructions carefully before use. |

Connecting to WiFi
Preparations
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone for faster and easier pairing.
- Connect the machine to an approved power source.
- Make sure your mobile device is connected to 2.4G Wi-Fi. The mobile device and the machine must be within good signal strength from the Wi-Fi router.
Download the app
- Download the app by searching for “Tuya Smart” or “Smart Life” in the App Store or Google Play, and install it.
- Open the app and sign up or log in to your account.
Connect the dehumidifier to WiFi
- Turn on the dehumidifier and hold the "TIMER" button for 5 seconds. The WiFi icon will now flash.
If a smart device is already paired, the icon will turn solid. - You can hold the "TIMER" button longer to start a new Wi-Fi pairing.
This deletes previous pairing.
If both you and another user are going to control the same device, the original device must be added as yours (or someone else's) as a family member via Family Management in the app. - Go to the app's Home screen , tap “Add device” or the plus sign in the top right.
- Select the correct device from the list and make sure the device is in EZ mode . Follow the instructions in the app to complete pairing.
The Wi-Fi icon will appear as a solid light when the connection is successful.

Emptying the water tank
- When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will make a beeping sound and the indicator light will light up.
- Pull out the water tank.
- Empty the water into an area with a drain or outdoors.
- Clean the water tank with soap and warm water if the water has been standing still for a long time.
- Place the empty tank back into the dehumidifier.

Using a drain hose
For continuous operation or unattended dehumidification, you can connect the included drain hose. The condensed water can then flow into a bucket or drain by gravity.
- Straighten the drain hose.
- Insert one end of the drain hose into the drain hole and connect the other end to a drain, bucket, or other suitable location.
- If there is a backlash on the hose or the water is blocked, the water container will fill up instead of the hose.

⚠️ Warning!
Maintenance
Note: Before cleaning and maintaining the dehumidifier, always make sure it is turned off.
AIR FILTER CLEANING (every other week)
Dust collects on the filter and restricts airflow. The restricted airflow reduces the efficiency of the system and, if blocked, can cause damage to the unit.
The air filter requires regular cleaning. The air filter can be removed for easy cleaning. Do not operate the unit without an air filter as the evaporator may become contaminated.

- Remove the water tank and then pull out the filter from the bottom of the back cover.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to gently suck away the dust on the surface.
If the filter is very dirty, wash it with water and a mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly. - Put the filter back in place.
- Do not use agents to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Troubleshooting
OPERATING TEMPERATURE
5°C ≤ Ambient temperature ≤ 35°C
When the ambient temperature is lower or higher than the functional temperature, the dehumidifier stops.
When 5°C ≤ Ambient temperature ≤ 16°C, the compressor will automatically defrost at intervals; during defrosting, the compressor stops and the fan continues to run.
| Problem | Possible cause | Solution |
| Not working | No power supply | Plug into a working outlet and turn on |
| Water tank full light is on | Empty the water tank and put it back, or place the water tank in the correct location | |
| Room temperature ˂ 5°C or ˃ 35°C | Self-protection that stops the device. Cannot operate under such temperatures | |
| Poor function | Is the air filter clogged? | Clean the air filter as described |
| Is the intake or exhaust duct blocked? | Remove the blockage from the intake or exhaust duct | |
| No air intake | Is the filter clogged? | Wash the filter |
Storage and transportation
If you are not going to use the dehumidifier for an extended period of time (more than a few weeks) or transport it, you must clean it and dry it completely.
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn it off. Wait until the fan has stopped and unplug the power cord.
- Empty the remaining water from the water tank.
- Clean the air filter and let it dry.
- Coil the power cable and place it in the water tank.
- Put the filter back in place.
- Store or transport in an upright position.
- Store the device in a ventilated, dry, non-corrosive and safe place indoors.
NOTE:
The evaporator inside the unit must be dried before packing the dehumidifier away to avoid damage and mold. Unplug the dehumidifier and place it in a dry, open area for a few days to dry it. Another way to dry the unit is to set the humidity more than 5% higher than the ambient humidity to force the fan to dry the evaporator for a few hours.
⚠️ Must be recycled!
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted household waste. Use appropriate collection points. Contact your local authority for information on available recycling options. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or waste disposal sites, hazardous substances can leach into groundwater and enter the food chain.
Please ensure that you dispose of your appliance responsibly to protect both the environment and public health.
